HOMEWORK: copy 4 of the feet in the examples below. Then draw 2 feet from photo reference in the same style. Make the best drawing you can. Expect to take 2-3 hours. Don't rush. You will have to finish before drawing from the model in class.

Line of Action with Rectangle Torsos

HMWK: Complete 20 figure drawings like the examples in the notes below. Create a dynamic Line of Action and then a rectangle for the ribcage, pelvis and skull. Pencil on paper okay.

Man Finds a Key

Make a sequential comic of the following sentence. "A walking man finds a key, unlocks a door and is attacked by a lion." Use pencil in your sketchbook. Be simple and fun. If you have fun, do another!

Use the handout and the examples below to complete 20 simplified figure drawings from reference.

HOMEWORK: Using the examples below and the handout, make at least 10 simplified gestures from reference. Pay attention to the dominant action line and weight distribution. Use compression and bowing to give a sense of weight. Place the figure in space.

Homework: Complete 10 figures like the examples below. Use reference for a quick gesture and then do not look at the reference again as you construct the figure.
